Welcome to Project Worthmore. We are working to restore worth to our refugee neighbors through the heart of our community.
Meet a few nieghbors in our community below
by Carmen Melton, Board Member & Artist
Meet Nangzi. She has lived in Denver for four years with her two kids David and Rachel and her husband, Haung Lum. David is five, and going into Kindergarten and Rachel is three. Nangzi’s husband works at Hammond Candy Factories. Nangzi has been a student with the English program since it began a year ago. She is light hearted, courageous, and a committed student.
Sui Hal was once a student of the Project Worthmore English program and now she is a tutor. She currently works at a restaurant and gives back to the community. English has provided Sui Hal a voice, confidence to take care of day-to-day needs, and a sense of dignity. Please take a moment to watch her story above.
